A Message at the Cemetery

I saw it too!  Did you?

When the doors of the hearse were opened there were dragonflies to greet Therese at her final resting place.

It was no coincidence as the peaceful dragonfly that followed her coffin to the grave chose to linger and be seen by all.

It was not a fluke that the dragonflies were there.

Therese was a positive force in all our lives.

She was a gift that was bestowed upon us and then suddenly ripped away.

Without loud gestures and wishes for accolades, she lived her life to the fullest with each and every one of us.

Then, much like the dragonfly, life on earth was over too soon.

Do you think she wanted us to see the dragonfly so effortlessly hovering over her grave?

Do you suppose she finds joy in her message to us?

I believe Therese would like us to renew our faith in God (not necessarily religion) and be inspired to make changes now so we can reach the ultimate goal of Heaven.

WikiAnswers - Meaning/symbolism of the dragonfly:  The main symbolisms of the dragonfly are renewal, positive force and the power of life in general. Dragonflies can also be a symbol of the sense of self that comes with maturity. Also, as a creature of the wind, the dragonfly frequently represents change. And as a dragonfly lives a short life, it knows it must live its life to the fullest with the short time it has - which is a lesson for all of us.

October 20, 2010 Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Therese's Final Resting Place Last week (October 20, 2010) I brought a lunch and Marshy to Therese's grave. I had planned on spending some time just hanging out and also to give Therese's dragon fly ample time to show up as I was doubting it would. It has been three months, Therese is well into her duties in Heaven. Lo and behold a large dragon fly came to see me, seconds later another and then about a minute later a third very small, teeny, tiny dragon fly came for a split second. All this AFTER my visit with Art. I am not fine knowing my sister is not here on Earth with me. I think the dragon flies come by to let me know everything is as it should be AND things are going to change. BTW - This time Marshy almost bit Art as he approached...I think she was protecting Therese's grave because she is normally very, very calm here.

Therese's Final Resting Place

On August 20th Therese's dragonfly showed up for just a moment...long enough for us to see that it was there and then left.  Today the same thing happened, but this time it was a different dragonfly.  Time is passing, healing is slow, change is imminent, I have not forgotten you, my sister.  We brought you flowers...pretty hibiscus and antherium and bird of paradise.  They are fake, but the memories are real.  Marshy likes coming to your resting place.

Therese's Final Resting Place

We went to visit Therese's grave today.  It was Kindra, Marshy, and me...

I could not believe my eyes!  I was sitting on the bench by the statue just staring at the patch of grass still without a headstone.  Lo and behold a single dragon fly hovering over her grave as if to tell us all is fine and dandy! I semi-yelled out to Kindra who was pacing the rows looking for Auntie Eva, but she didn't hear me.

Believe it or not, the dragon fly flew out to follow her and then returned to Therese's grave.  I watched as the dragon fly hovered for about a minute and then flew off out of sight.

Marshy was super peaceful...no barking, no jumping, no pulling on her leash.  She sat quietly soaking in the calm and eventually laid down.   Therese's body is in a nice place, her soul is in the best place ever.
